The contemporary transformational metamorphosis: from the city to the metropolis. Towards a theoretical-conceptual configuration explaining the process

From the theoretical position that is proposed here, the beginning of this whole process that involves in a differential space-time, the territorial transformation of a city to a metropolis, is permeated by multiple intervening variables, both endogenous linked to the reference locus typicus, as well as own exogenous factors, among others, those referred to contemporary globalization; this, as an evolutionary process that has not yet finished. So, the initial purpose of this deductive reasoning that is presented below, has as its central objective to advance in the knowledge of this urban expression, which tends to reveal itself spatially in that metamorphosis that transforms it, consolidates it and tends to gradually replicate a city. , configuring it in a metropolitan conurbation with sui generis characteristics
